Activity 3: Color the Poem
- Click the crayon above, and complete page 77 of 'Poetry Coloring Pages for Kindergarten.'
Activity 4: Act Out the Poem
- Get a coin and a toy horse (or draw and cut out a toy horse).
- Play the roles of the boy selling his horse and the lady buying the horse.
- Practice the sales transaction, exchanging the lady's coin for the boy's horse.
- As the boy, act upset and regretful after you sell your horse.
Activity 5: Create Novel Artwork Based on the Poem
- One day this week, sketch a still life of the toy horse or other toy that you pretended to sell.
- Place the toy next to your paper. Look at the toy, and use a pencil to sketch the toy.
