Lesson 17: Count and Write Numbers to 10

Directions

This lesson is intended to suggest how to teach the child to count objects and to express their number by figures.

It comprises the first ten numbers.

Steps

STEP 1

• Children point to each ball and say, one; one two; one two three etc.

STEP 2

• Direct children to write the figure for one, for two etc.

STEP 3

• Supplement this exercise by having children line up and count physical objects.
