Lesson 8: Principal Directions II (Objects, Position, and Perspective)
Instructors ask children to examine the lesson images, and name which objects (top image) and figures (bottom image) are resting, climbing, or running on the following surfaces:
- Horizontal
- Oblique
- Vertical
Children complete the following drill work:
- Draw a baseball resting on a horizontal surface. On an oblique surface.
- Draw an apple resting on an oblique surface. On a horizontal surface.
- Draw a pear hanging against a vertical surface. Resting on a horizontal surface. On an oblique surface.
- Draw a post resting on an oblique surface. On a horizontal surface.
- Draw a boy running on a horizontal surface.
- Draw a girl running up a hill.
- Draw a boy running down a hill.
- Draw a girl climbing an oblique surface.
- Draw a boy climbing a ladder.
