1. A horizontal surface.
2. Oblique surfaces.
3. Outward curves.
4. Inward curves.

Children complete the following drill work:

1. Draw five trees on an outwardly curved surface or hill.
2. Draw three trees resting on an inwardly curved surface or valley.
3. Draw four trees resting on an oblique outwardly curved surface or a slope.
4. Draw six trees resting on an oblique inwardly curved surface or a slope.
