Explain that '-' is to be read as 'minus' and that 2 - 1 = 1 is to be read as 'two minus one equals one.'

• 2 less 0 is 2
• 2 minus 0 equals 2
• 2 - 0 = 2

• 2 less 1 is 1
• 2 minus 1 equals 1
• 2 - 1 = 1

• 2 less 2 is 0
• 2 minus 2 equals 0
• 2 - 2 = 0
